Hasbro, Inc. (; a syllabic abbreviation of its original name, Hassenfeld Brothers) is an American-Canadian multinational conglomerate with toy, board game, and media assets, headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Hasbro owns the trademarks and products of Kenner, Parker Brothers, and Milton Bradley, among others. Hasbro is incorporated in Rhode Island, and as of August 2020, over 80% of its shares were held by large financial institutions. Among its products are Transformers, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, Rom, Micronauts, M.A.S.K., Monopoly, Furby, Nerf, Twister, and My Little Pony. The Hasbro brand also spawned TV shows to promote its products, such as Family Game Night on the Discovery Family network, a joint venture with Discovery, Inc. As of 2019, it is also the parent company of mass media and entertainment company Entertainment One.

After a Change.org petition and following several claims, Hasbro had to pull off the market a Troll doll, Doug Stanglin reported the story in USA Today,

"The DreamWorks Trolls World Tour Giggle 'n Sing Poppy Troll doll, introduced by Hasbro in its spring toy lineup, has a strategically placed button between its legs that giggles when the doll is placed in a seating position. Several posts on Facebook – and a Change.org petition – describe the button as located in the doll's "private parts" area and suggest it is designed as part of an effort to groom young children for sex.

According to Hasbro's product description, the 12-inch tall doll is aimed at children 4 years and older and "giggles 3 different ways when she's tickled." It sings a version of the song "Trolls Just Want to Have Fun" from the DreamWorks Animation feature movie "Trolls World Tour."

"Red tape, operational dysfunction beyond what a typical worker should encounter, the good employees leave because their tolerance for ineptitude is lower than those who stay. Newer employees who have been employed elsewhere quickly realize what a mess this company is once they get down to business, which only fuels incredulous dissatisfaction and quickly leaving within a year or two. I know people who left with no job lined up because it was so bad. Older employees and those who have never experienced a true healthy workplace stay because they don’t know any better. It’s like some twisted Stockholm Syndrome thought process. I can’t imagine the layoffs that are going to occur because of the coronavirus impact - they’d already done layoffs twice in a period of a year and a half leading up to COVID19. I also find it telling that the company was parading around a new CXO hire in April 2019 like it was going to revolutionize and save the business yet they hadn’t even figured out how people would report into her and what the role would entail, and by October 2019, she was gone from the company. Whether she left because she was so unhappy with the realities of the dysfunction of this company, or because they said to her that her ability to actually work and try to change things for the better “wasn’t a fit”...that entire scenario is classic Hasbro."

"New senior leaders of the Lain America region are hugely under-qualified. I am ashamed about how noticeable are the lack of capabilities and very poor qualifications of our senior leaders. No qualifications whatsoever to lead a region. No organizational nor managerial skills. They do not care about people nor its development, they are only focused on Mexico. The HR department is a real joke. Suffice to say that it is not more than a well-paid group of clerks doing the errands from senior management. They have no leadership, influence or management power. The most not trustworthy team I have ever met. They are the perfect example of what an HR Department should not be. In the Latin America organization, if you are Mexican, you will do fine. If you are not Mexican, you do not have a career. Ethnic nepotism and bias at his highest expression. If you were lay off for low performance, it doesn't matter. If you are a friend of the current Senior Management team, they will hire you back. No integrity, no equal opportunities, no consistency, pure favoritism. This is the closest thing to a Mom & Pop operation. Recognition is very low and engagement is very poor. It doesn’t matter If you have the qualifications or several post graduate degrees. The senior leaders will always favor Mexico. Benefits are not good. After talking with friends working for a key global entertainment partner, benefits are much better in serious and reputable entertainment companies."

"It's a place to put in a few years to gain experience and leave. Unfortunately this isn't a family company and everything is tied to shareholders, so layoffs are frequent with minimal chance for move-up in career path. Ideally, great place to make contacts via licensing and trade show to make the next move. With lack of competence in middle management, most teams are left to fend for themselves with constant churn/changes to mediocre product offering. If it wasn't for big licenses, not sure what Hasbro would do."

"I am in need of 2 of the Mr. MINT cards that are part of the Candy Land game. My game is about 30 years old. Customer service told me they only have a 1 year warranty for parts. I offered to pay, same story. Ok send a full deck of the cards and I will pay, same answer. Felt I was talking to David the robot. I can't imagine that my request is an impossibility. The game is still being manufactured. Maybe the issue is where it is manufactured that makes helping a long time customer on a simple request so difficult. I wonder if my game was under a year if the same issue would exist? Let's see if anyone responds and if they can send me out the 2 cards...hmmm"

"Received a Mr Frosty which has been licensed and sold by a company called Flairgp toys. Their number is not in service for complaints and they aren’t answering their emails. Hasbro shouldn’t license their name to companies that don’t have functional customer services. There is no way for me to resolve the issue of missing parts as this was a gift."
